Alison Brie stars as Ruth Wilder, an unemployed entertainer living in Los Angeles during the '80s. More stunning finds a surprising possibility at fame: enter the sparkle and spandex-loaded universe of ladies' wrestling, where she should work close by 12 other Hollywood nonconformists. Marc Maron assumes the job of Sam Sylvia, a cleaned up chief of "B" motion pictures who attempts to lead the gathering of ladies to distinction. The arrangement is made via Carly Mensch and Liz Flahive, who fill in as official makers with Jenji Kohan and Tara Herrmann.
