It's the fall of 1984, about a year after Will Byers was found, and he has been tormented by observing dreams of the Upside Down including an increasingly perilous beast. That drives the kid to see a dubiously benevolent new specialist, with the likelihood that Will's dreams are the consequence of experiencing PTSD. Nancy manages survivor's regret over the demise of closest companion Barb. Then, another evil element compromises the Hawkins inhabitants who endure the year-sooner occasions. New to the town is boyish girl Max, who becomes friends with the young men and pulls in the sentimental interests of Dustin and Lucas.
